Changing Your Look

Want to trick the enemy, need a costume, or do you just want a new look? There are items in the game you can use to change your appearance for fun. Let’s take a look at some.
Blix’s Eyesight Enhancing Romance Goggles
Gnomes/Orcs
An item you can buy during the Harvest Festival but with a twist. Instead of transforming you or someone else it makes every Alliance character look like a gnome and every Horde character look like an Orc. It’s fun to wear during raids or pvp and take screenshots.
Dartol’s Rod of Transformation
Furblog
An Alliance quest chain includes a quest item that turns you into a Furblog! Unlike most quest disguises which you can only use in limited areas, you can use this item anywhere in the game. The effect lasts for 3 minutes. But be careful to not finish the quest chain if you want to keep this item. Like many quest items, finishing the last steps will remove the rod.
Orb of the Sin’dorei
Blood Elf
The boss Kael’Thas in the Sunwell 5 player instance drops this item. Unlike some it doesn’t need to be equipped to use and last for five minutes.
Discombobulator Ray
Leper Gnome
This crafted item can be made by Engineers but used by anyone. It will turn anyone even a targetted enemy into a Leper Gnome.
Flimsy Mask
Mask
There are sixteen of these masks you can win as treats from Innkeepers during the seasonal Hallow’s End event.
Fresh Holly, Preserved Holly
Reindeer Mount
Yet another seasonal item available Winter Veil. This transforms your mount into a Reindeer!
Hallowed Wand
Bat, Ghost, Leper Gnome, Ninja, Pirate, Skeleton, Wisp
There are eight versions of this wand. Their soulbound and only available during the Hallows End event. Even though it’s once a year, you can save up a number of them and use them for later in the year. Unlike the other items listed here you can use these on other party members.
Murloc Costume
Murloc
If you went to Blizzcon 2007 you should have received a code in your welcome package that you can use to get this item. It makes you look like a Murloc, but if you look closely you can tell it’s a suit. Some people continue to give away codes as prizes or sell them.
Noggenfogger
Skeleton, Shrink
Among other things this item can turn you into a skeleton or shrink you for 30 minutes. You can buy them from Marin Noggenfogger in Tanaris after you complete the quest. This is one of the most popular items for changing how you look. And the shrink effect can help make you harder to target in PvP. And of course, anything smaller is automatically cuter.
Orb of Deception
Alliance/Horde
This unique item turns you into a race of the opposing faction. Gnomes become Tauren, Humans become Orcs, Night Elfs become Undead, Dwarfs become Trolls, Draenei become Blood Elfs, and vise versa. The effect lasts for 5 mins and can be confusing to other players. The item is a world drop so you either have to be lucky to find one or buy it on the Auction House. It currently sells for 200-500 gold.

Savory Deviate Delight
Ninja, Pirate
This savory fish which can be made by cooking Deviate Fish. You randomly turn into a Ninja or a Pirate. The effect lasts for one hour. If you don’t cook, check the Auction House for people selling them.
Time-Lost Figurine
Arakkoa
This rare trinket is dropped by Terokk in Skettis. You summon Terokk as part of a quest chain ending in Terokk’s Downfall. It has a slightly little less than 2% chance to drop. The bird form last for five minutes and varies randomly between a couple models. Like the Furblog transformation it works in all areas.
Winter Veil Disguise Kit
Snowman
Another seasonal item that you can use all year is the Winter Veil Disguise Kit, provided you have the snowballs to use it. You can turn yourself into an Snowman! Of course you can’t move since you don’t have legs. If you forget to save some snowballs, you can buy them on the Auction House or engineers can make them with the Snowmaster 9000.
World Enlarger
Shrink
This is an effect rather than a costume. But if you want a miniature you, and can’t get the random Noggenfogger shrink effect this will do the trick!
Winterfall Firewater and Elixir of Giant Growth
Grow
Like for shrinking this is also an effect.
Others
Those are the more popular way’s to change your appearance in the game. But there are many other disguises which are quest related. Unfortunately most can’t be used outside the quest area or have charges. But to be complete let’s list them: Orb of the Crawler, Sunfury, Overseer, Blood Elf, Moonstalker, Narain, Stormcrow, a baby dragon, a bird spirit, and even a Tree.

I think you don’t have to save up snowballs.. Engineers can craft one per day if they have the receipe.
Thanks whoot! Editing it to include The Snowmaster 9000
Updated to include Orb of Sin’dorei and Orb of the Crawler from patch 2.4
