The Hidden Bosses - Anzu
For one reason or another there are several bosses in WoW that most people don’t know about or have been forgotten. Some drop great loot and some are just fun. Let’s take a look at one.
Anzu
Profile: Angry Bird God taking over the Emerald Dream, kill him and then use his corpse as a mount.
Where: Heroic Sethekk Halls
How: Anzu
Loot: A shard and a shot at a great new mount.
This boss is one of the more enjoyable ones in the heroic instances. Essentially druids find that an angry bird god is causing trouble in the Emerald Dream and it’s time to take action. After a long quest chain which leads to Anzu, you have the chance to put a stop to it once and for all, or until you go back to the instance to do it again. This is also the last step in a quest chain for druids to get their epic flight form.
We have talked about other hidden bosses.
This one is a little off the beaten path because not only do you have to be in heroic Sethekk Halls but you have to have a druid in the group who is on the last step of the quest or has already completed it. As more and more druids get their epic flight form, more groups that can unlock this boss are showing up.
The loot is a blue item which you’ll probably end up sharding. But there is a chance at an epic gem and a new mount. Apparently after you kill the god you can then ride it around, which is inconsistent but pretty cool. The chance for the mount to drop is less than 1% but the fight is well worth the fun to see and the extra Badge of Justice never hurts.
